The University of Rochester Medical Center
The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), located in Rochester, New York, is one of the main campuses of the University of Rochester and comprises the university's primary medical education, research and patient care facilities. URMC is one of the largest facilities for medical treatment and research in Upstate New York and includes a regional Perinatal Center, Trauma Center, Burn Center and the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, an Epilepsy Center, Liver Transplant Center and Cardiac Transplant Center and also includes a major AIDS Treatment Center and an NIH-designated AIDS Vaccine Evaluation Unit. Medical Center allows for 700 in-patients. It provides services up to 1,100 patients annually.
